Member ParticipationHIP Homeschoolers is intended for active homeschool families who seek to proactively develop friendships and learning opportunities for their children and themselves. Participation is a critical part of group membership and HIP requests that every member attend at least one calendar event every 30–45 days.After 45 days, if HIP has not had any contact with the member, a follow up call and/or email will be made to the member before taking them off our membership list. We understand "life happens" and members may take some time off from the group. We hope that you will communicate your situation to a fellow member. We may touch base with you from time to time and see if there's any support we can offer (watch the kids, schedule a moms night out, etc.) |
HIP Homeschoolers "Meet and Greet" PolicyWhen a homeschool family requests to join. HIP will email or call them with the date for our monthly park day. If they are interested and request more information about the event, then HIP will send the complete event details. Once a pending member attends a Meet and Greet park day, then their request to join will be approved. If the family fails to reply to the park day email or fails to attend a “Meet and Greet” event within 30 days of their request to join, the request is denied.This policy was designed to encourage members to meet at a public venue for the safety of our children. |
